The Final Blow Out Art Show
I can't believe I won.
I started crying when I got the e-mail.
This is the picture of the image before I fixed it, I should probably post that one instead...
This is the second contest I have won with a traditional drawing of mine.
But this makes me want to do another ambitious piece.
Over the summer.
I think I will.

Lynda Review
After taking a semester of Lynda.com I've found out quite a bit through the site and really enjoyed watching the videos. I've retained a lot of different and helpful information from what Lynda.com can offer. The videos I've learned the most from are the videos based off InDesign. The voice over was easy to listen too and I wasn't comfortable with InDesign from the beginning.
As for the other videos, well the videos for Illustrator were like the comic sans of the website, the person narrating was unbearable to listen to and that was a major component as to why I couldn't fully pay attention to it. Also I just find Illustrator, in general to be a super huge pain. It's the middle child of Adobe products. And for what I am good at and interested in, knowing as little as possible about it seems to be working quite well for me.
So yeah, I really enjoyed the InDesign one and I learned a lot from it, however I was highly disappointed in the Photoshop videos they had, to the point where I did not finish them. I finished listening to the camera RAW videos and I was happy to learn a little from it but I pretty much already knew everything that the videos for photoshop had to offer. I guess I was really hoping for hidden secrets of photoshop that I didn't know, but it turns out there isn't anything... Or at least nothing that Lynda.com wanted to share.
I didn't finish Lynda, but I did get a lot of information for things I didn't know, which was great. I would recommend this subscription to anyone that is unsure of how to work with the adobe collection. There was a lot of information all at once and I would recommend that you do sections in spurts otherwise everything overlaps each other and it gets confusing and you forget what you were doing...
